“Hear my soul speak. The very instant

that I saw you did my heart fly to

your service.” – Shakespeare

Picture me as a friend

among angels – or

Picture me as a ghost

because I look better

not being seen.

Picture me broken

Picture me put back

Tell me

the difference

between the two.

Picture me in your

shirt – not wearing

it but weaved

into the fibers.

Breathing in cotton

like candy in

my throat.

Picture me –

Make me a ghost

hear my soul speak.

Again. Again.
