Cost of Living
Gary Beck
The nation is beleaguered
in an economic crisis,
with elected officials
squabbling over spending
as if it were their money,
not income of and from the people.
Our enormous public debt,
as well as huge expenditures
jeopardizes stability,
fading hopes of recovery,
yet the Pentagon
wastes billions yearly
without making restitution
to the taxpayers,
so some of us conclude
our children won't go to college
as we pay for the F35.
